Truth or Lies?

truth or liesDo we always say what we are thinking or feeling? How many times have we felt one thing and said or done something else? We tell lies to keep others happy. We lie to make sure we are accepted and ‘loved’. We lie to reject another so that we can’t be hurt. Sometimes when we see ourselves in action our lies are glaringly obvious, sometimes they are very subtle. It is the conditioning of our mind to run from pain.

Can we be aware of feelings, thoughts, words, and actions when communicating with another? If so, can we observe them without judgement? Uncovering the root feeling beneath our lies allows us to understand ourselves more deeply. Can we be honest with ourselves and therefore with each other?
